PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN, BUDAYA ORGANISASI DAN KOMPETENSI TERHADAP KINERJA MELALUI DISIPLIN SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING PADA PEGAWAI DINAS PERINDUSTRIAN DAN PERDAGANGAN PROVINSI RIAU
Abstract
This research was conducted at the Department of Industry and Trade of
Riau Province. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership, organizational
culture and competence on discipline and employee performance. The population of
this study was 212 people.The sampling technique was carried out using probability
sampling and random sampling methods which produced as many as 68 Civil
Servants as research samples. The data analysis technique of this research is done by
Path Analysis or path analysis using the help of SPSS Version 3.0 software. The
results of the study concluded that leadership has a positive and significant effect on
employee discipline, leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee
performance, then organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on work
discipline. Organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on
performance. Furthermore, competency has a significant influence on work
discipline, competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance,
work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and
leadership, organizational culture and competence indirectly influence employee
performance with work discipline as an intervening variable. This study recommends
to leaders of organizations expected to improve leadership, organizational culture
and competence because it can directly improve work discipline and better employee
performance in the future. This study also recommends that leaders can improve
leadership, organizational culture and competencies mediated by good work
discipline will improve employee performance indirectly.
