Abstract


Abstract. The core activities of a school or class is Teaching and Learning. Often appearing various complaints or criticism of the students, parents or teachers with regard to the implementation of the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study was to Fix Teacher Teaching Style in the management class that ultimately can improve the effectiveness of teaching. The expected correlation teaching style situational leadership and the level of readiness of students collectively affect the teacher's role as a leader in learning and as its outcome is the effectiveness of teaching. The research was conducted from May till July 2015, at SMA Negeri 85 West Jakarta. Data analysis technique used is the product moment correlation analysis with significance level of 5% and multiple regression analysis. Because the four variables produce alpha values above 0.500, it is stated reliable research instruments. The results showed that: the strongest correlation to the teacher's role as a leader with the level of preparedness of students in learning by 0,778, effectiveness of teaching to the level of readiness of students in learning by 0,692, the situational leadership style of teaching to the level of preparedness of students in learning by 0,672 and Effectiveness of teaching with the teacher's role as the leader of 0,607. It can be concluded that there is positive and significant correlation between teaching style situational leadership and the level of readiness of students collectively affect the teacher's role as a leader in the effectiveness of learning. With the research is expected to improve the teaching style of teachers in classroom management and improve the effectiveness of teaching.
